We're Gettin' There

Word to the younger: DO NOT GET MARRIED OUT OF STATE. It is the absolute hardest thing you will do to yourself. I cant wait to get married, but everything leading up to it sucks haha. Theres so much more to planning a wedding than i thought. You forget that you have to think about
-keeping in your budget
-what you want your theme to be
-how to incorporate all your colors
-whether you want mason jar centerpieces or vases
-where to print everything for a cheaper price
-where to buy your perfect dress for a decent price
-where everyone will be staying when they come to town
-who will take your photos
-what you want floating on the pool
-who to have cook/cater at the reception
-exactly what food you want, down to the little skewers
-where will we find a DJ that we've never heard

Trust me, theres a lot more. Its the little things that add up.
I have realized though, it gets a lot easier once you see your list slowly deteriorating.
It is the best feeling in the world. I am so glad i have so many people that i can ask for help. Like my Mom, Ashley, Blair, Blairs Mom, etc.

Although planning is difficult, I cant wait for the pay-off.
I cant wait to marry my best friend.
As long as I get to be married to him, nothing else really matters.

I'M ENGAGED!!!

Can you believe it!? Thoughts that went through my head yesterday:

"Heyyy! What is Cody doing here?! And Gregg! ... Matt? *guitar playing* ... Blair..? 0_0 ... Hooooly big group! Aww everyone is crying... Oh my gosh. He's proposing. 0.0 "

"Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh."

"I'm gonna throw up."

"Hes so cute. I love him."

"Awwww! Hes shaking! :D"

"Woooow. There's sooo many people."

"Hes gonna be my husband!"

"Do NOT cry. No crying! Suck those tears back, Rae."

"Oh my freak... Im ENGAGED!"

"This is not my BOYFRIEND... this is my FIANCE."

"IM GETTING MARRIED!"

"In a few months, I will never have a bed to myself again."

"Crap. I already have 10 bridesmaids so far."

"Im not just planning a pinterest wedding now, I have to plan a REAL wedding."

"I dont KNOW what the day is yet everyone... we only got engaged today!"

Blair said "This is HER wedding." ..... Yes dear, very good. ;)

I really dont have a lot of words. Im still in shock. I feel like ive already BEEN engaged, but its just official now. Im so scared of my ring coming off.. I had to take a ring off before bed. SO WEIRD.

I'M ENGAGED! I'M GETTING MARRIED! I just cant bleieve this. I'm getting married.. To my best friend!!! BEST. FRIEND! The love of my life!!! My companion! :D Im so happy :) I cant wait to start planning! :)))

Its funny, because we had gone out for sushi the night before with our friends and marriage/ wedding stuff was the main subject of conversation, and Blair said something like "Hey we need to go look at rings again soon, so i can be refreshed on what you want." and i was like "Nooo we dont need to.." "WHY?" and everyone was looking at me like "What!?" and i was just like "We dont need to.. its not coming for a while. Just leave it alone." lol CAME THE NEXT DAY. hahaha

There was SO many hints dropped, looking back, but I had NO clue until after the engagement. SO many. Like Robbie saying to Blair "Good luck with your thing tomorrow!" and everyone saying "Youre gonna be part of the family soon." 

Wedding Day

Wow. I feel so lame for posting this haha But with all these engagements lately, I'm really freaked out that someone is going to do what iiii want to, and then think I copied them lol So I figured I should just officially just get it out there :) [So so dumb. But whatever. I am nervous haha] But I wont even bother posting all the pictures I've said I wanted to mimic... every one has the same ideas. (Helllllloooo Pinterest! lol)

These were my choices in like, May this year (Coral, Peach. Lavender, etc.) .... they are evolving all the time.

This is now. Neutrals/ tans/ beiges. Light grey/ light tan :)

My DREAM Ring:

I posted this mainly because i know its a popular style right now. This looks so different in a picture compared to how it does on my finger. I looove that it has so many facets in it, and thats what makes it sparkle so much. Its made by Ben Bridge and I kid you not, it is absolutely breath-takingly gorgeous. Too bad its $3,300 ring! Ughh! Well, I seriously encourage everyone to look at it... but not take it! lol

Also, pearls are my accessory. I LOVE the vintage feel of them. My girls will be wearing a pair of pearls on their ears and a pearl bracelet.
